kisir for events

Split party, wedding and group gift costs

A birthday dinner, a bachelor party, a wedding gift from twelve friends. Usually one person pays and then chases everyone for weeks. kisir does the chasing part with numbers instead.

kisir’s Add someone sheet: invite with a link, or add someone without the app by name.

Why events are hard to split

Events bring together people who don’t normally share money: friends of friends, cousins, colleagues. Some of them will never install an app for one evening. Costs are often for everyone except the guest of honour, and the organiser fronts most of it.

kisir handles all of that: add everyone, including people without the app, split each cost between the right people, and send each person a clear amount at the end.

What helps at an event

  • Add people who don’t have the app. Type their name and they are in every split. They can claim that spot later with a link if they install kisir.
  • Everyone except the birthday person. Split each expense only between the people it was for.
  • Several payers on one expense. When two people put the dinner on their cards, enter both.
  • Join by link or QR code. Show the QR at the table; people join with just a name.
  • Copy who owes whom. Share the summary to the event chat, and record payments as they come in.
