How do I get my groups back on a new phone?
Add a recovery email on your old phone (Settings → Recovery email). On the new phone, choose “Used kisir before?” on the first screen and enter the code we email you.
Step by step
- On the old phone: Settings → Recovery email → Add an email, and enter the 6-digit code we send.
- On the new phone: install kisir and, on the first screen, tap “Used kisir before? Restore everything with your email”.
- Type the same email and enter the code. Your groups, expenses and balances come back as you left them.
Good to know
- The email is optional and used for nothing else: no password, no newsletter. You can remove it any time.
- Codes last 15 minutes; up to 5 can be sent an hour.
- Without a recovery email, your groups live only on the old phone. You can still join a group again from its link, as a new member.
